Account Information
Your email address and a securely hashed password (never stored in reversible form) when you register, plus your language and preferred chart-style (South/North Indian) settings.
Payment Information
Processed entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a purchase succeeded and which Pack you bought — never your full card number.
Usage & Cookies
Session cookies to keep you signed in, and plain preference cookies (language, chart style) that carry no security consequence if read by a third party. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where GDPR or an equivalent regime applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (calculating and delivering the chart or report you requested), consent (marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time), and legitimate interest (securing the platform, preventing fraud, and improving accuracy).
4. How We Use Your Data

- ✦ Synthesizing your AI-generated report and grounding the Vedic Empowered Life Assistant (VELA) chat in your actual chart data.
- ✦ Administering your Report Credit and Chat Token balances, and your permanent tier unlock.
- ✦ Sending account, purchase, and (if you opt in) nurture communications by email or WhatsApp.
- ✦ Securing accounts and investigating abuse of free-tier or entitlement gating.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only with the processors that make the Sanctuary function, and only the minimum each one needs:
- ✦ Stripe — payment processing.
- ✦ Google (Gemini API) — generating your interpretive report text and VELA's chat responses from your chart data.
- ✦ WhatsApp Business Platform — delivering messages you've opted into, such as report-ready notifications.
- ✦ Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and caching) — operating the platform itself.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose. We may disclose data where required by law or a valid legal request.
6. International Transfers
Because our processors operate globally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on those processors' own standard contractual safeguards to keep protection consistent with this policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your birth data and generated charts for as long as your account remains active, so you can revisit past reports without recalculating or repurchasing. Generated report text is cached temporarily to avoid redundant AI calls, and expires automatically. You may request full deletion at any time — see Section 9.
