Planetary Conjunctions

ग्रह युति — When Planets Share a Sign

Track when two grahas occupy the same zodiac sign at once — a conjunction, or Yuti. When the pairing is classically significant, it forms a named Yoga like Gaj Kesari, Budhaditya, or Guru Chandal.

Classical Named Yogas

These pairings are specific enough, and agreed-upon enough across classical texts, to carry their own name.

What Is a Conjunction (Yuti)?

A conjunction happens when two grahas land in the same zodiac sign at the same time. Since they're occupying identical territory, their significations don't just interact from a distance — they blend, coloring the same house of your chart together rather than separately. The tighter the overlap (same Nakshatra, or close in exact degree), the stronger that blending tends to read.

Conjunction (Yuti): planets in the same sign — energies merge completely. Aspect (Drishti): planets in different signs — one planet influences another from a distance. A handful of conjunctions are significant enough across classical texts to carry their own Yoga name; the rest are still worth tracking, just without a dedicated label.
