Constitutional Wellness
Understanding Ayurvedic Prakriti, the Tridoshas, and how your unique metabolic signature manifests in physical health.
The Principles of Prakriti
In the sacred science of Ayurveda, health is defined as the perfect equilibrium of your birth constitution, known as Prakriti. Your Prakriti is determined at the moment of conception by the dominant natural elements in your parents and the cosmic alignments of the planets.
Prakriti represents your genetic and biological baseline. It dictates how your body processes nutrition, responds to environmental stress, and regenerates cells. Understanding your Prakriti allows you to make conscious lifestyle choices that maintain systemic homeostasis.
Vata
Governs motility, communication, nerve impulses, and change. Characterized as cold, light, dry, and irregular.
Pitta
Governs digestion, heat generation, cellular transformation, and intellect. Characterized as hot, sharp, light, and acidic.
Kapha
Governs physical structure, moisture, joint lubrication, and stability. Characterized as heavy, cold, slow, and soft.
The Three Pillars of Physical Assessment
Our assessment targets three highly dynamic biological indicators that serve as primary portals to identify your underlying Tridoshic state:
- Skin Quality (Sparsha)
Vata skin is naturally dry, cool, thin, and prone to early fine lines. Pitta skin is warm, sensitive, reddish, and prone to inflammation or breakouts. Kapha skin is thick, soft, moist, oily, and resistant to aging.
- Digestion & Metabolism (Agni)
Vata digestion (Vishamagni) is highly erratic, leading to gas, bloating, and irregular appetite. Pitta digestion (Tikshnagni) is intensely sharp and hot, prone to acidity or heartburn if meals are missed. Kapha digestion (Mandagni) is slow and heavy, meaning food takes hours to digest, leading to lethargy.
- Sleep Architecture (Nidra)
Vata sleep is light, easily interrupted, and restless, often accompanied by active dreaming. Pitta sleep is moderate but can be delayed by mental overactivity, though they awaken easily if needed. Kapha sleep is deep, heavy, and long, often requiring effort to awaken fully in the morning.
Restoring Homeostasis
When external stressors, poor diet, or planetary transits displace you from your birth baseline, you enter a state of Vikriti (imbalance).
Our apothecary utilizes pure organic ghee infusions, active botanical elixirs, and planetary minerals to pacify the excited elements. By identifying your exact signature, we select specific herbal pacifiers (such as Ashwagandha for Vata, Gotu Kola for Pitta, and Tulsi for Kapha) to gently guide your system back to sovereign wellness.
